The weather man co-operated and 32 600 micro sprints signed in for the first of 17 tour races. It was a great night of racing with three heats and a B-Main. We would like to thank everyone for a great fun filled night of racing. Thanks to all our officals, drivers and fans.
Heat #1 saw the Hyper Racing/NPS of Nick Cooper taking the checkered flag, followed by Darryl Ruggles, Ryan Greth, Charlie Donk, AJ Bogino, Ryan Ellis, Kevin Carlson, Kirsten Dombroski, Frank Jarkiewicz, Dan Naegele and Matt Jones.
Heat #2 Chuck Hebing in his Hyper/Spar and Jim Radney in the "Original Pizza Logs" 81j would battle side by side with Hebing taking the checkered followed by Radney, Cody Shurgot, Eric Wise, Tyler Walker, Matt Farnham, Ken Wills, Keith Heater, Matt Smith and Mike Foster. Jacob Wendt was unable to start his heat.
Heat #3 would see Colton Wilson in his Hyper/RC Wilson Backhoe car taking the checkers over Jim Lafler in his new Hyper/NPS car. Alysha Ruggles, Dave Ferguson, John Smith, Cory Donk, Cory Gramlich, Steven Fonte, Ben Kysor and Bob Finley would follow.
The B-Main would see 14 cars fighting for 6 qualifying spots. Steven Fonte would win this with Kevin Carlson, Ben Kysor, Ken Wills, Cory Gramlich and Keith Heater taking the last spots. Just missing out were Matt Smith (who took a wild ride off the first corner) was followed by Frank Jarkiewicz, Dan Naegele, Jacob Wendt, Kristen Dombroski, Bob Finley and Matt Jones.
Darryl Ruggles and Nick Cooper would lead the 24 car starting field to the green. Ruggles was able to take the lead on lap one and never looked back. Meanwhile Chuck Hebing, Nick Cooper, Charlie Donk, Alysha Ruggles and Jim Radney would battle for position through-out the 20 lap feature. The feature was red flagged when Cory Gramlich flipped his car between turns one and two. He was able to walk away. When the feature resumed and the checkers flew it was Darryl Ruggles, Chuck Hebing, Nick Cooper, Charlie Donk, Alysha Ruggles, Jim Radney, Cody Shurgot, Ryn Greth, Tyler Walker, Steven Fonte, Dave Ferguson, AJ Bogino, Eric Wise, Colton Wilson, John Smith, Cory Donk, Ben Kysor, Kevin Carlson, Ryan Ellis, Keith Heater, Ken Wills, Jim Lafler and Cory Gramlich. Matt Farnham was a DNS.
The Fender Bender Mender Hard Charger award went to Steven Fonte who from his 19th starting spot worked his way up to finish 10th.
Cory Gramlich received the Aero Wings hard luck award after flipping his car in between turns one and two during the feature.
